IYOR Brazilian Exhibit

Since the 80's Green Parties and Social- environmental movements from different countries have gathered together, form time to time, with the objective of establishing common strategies to deal with the problems that mankind faces. Brazil was chosen by the Coordination to host the Global Greens 2008, which had the climate change as main subject and happened from 1st to 4th may in Sao Paulo City.

AOCEANO is a Brazilian association that works with oceans and coastal subjects and they organized an ocean forum in Global Green to debate the importance of the oceans and they present the Brazilian Coral Reef Exhibition and explain activities of the International Year of Reefs during the Conference. This Congress has the objective of be a scientific and technical forum about the oceanographic, courses, research and employment in Brazil. It is the third edition and Brazilian Ministry of The Environment has a space to present the Coral Reef Exhibition, distributed some books and magazines and gave a lecture about Marine Biodiversity Politics and IYOR.
