Activities

COBSEA will celebrate the International Year of the Reef 2008 through the following activities:

  • Organisation of the "Clean Up East Asian Seas Campaign 2008". The Clean Up East Asian Seas Campaign 2008 is being organised in partnership with Clean Up the World, Ocean Conservanc's International Coastal Cleanup and local partners among the COBSEA member countries. The campaign intends to highlight the serious impacts of marine litter on the marine environment.
  • Organisation of the 2nd COBSEA Marine Litter Workshop and Cleanup Campaign 2008 together with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Thailand.
  • Activities carried out by the COBSEA initiated Green Fins network including cleanup activities, participation in diving expos etc.
